Welcome to Régence

Régence is a Mac app dedicated to one thing: understanding your chess games. Every game you play — online or over the board — contains lessons; Régence makes them visible. The app replays your games with an analysis engine running entirely on your Mac, grades every move, measures both players’ accuracy and draws the thread of the game on an evaluation graph. In a few minutes, a confusing loss becomes a clear explanation.

Around that analysis, Régence gathers everything needed to improve:

  • A game manager — your Lichess and chess.com archives imported in one click, organized with folders, smart folders and tags, analyzable in batch.
  • Studies — to build and train an opening repertoire: import from Lichess or PGN files, position-by-position training, Ghost mode.
  • Statistics — average accuracy, strengths and weaknesses by opening, recurring traps: what a hundred analyzed games reveal that a single one cannot.

The app is designed for online players roughly between 800 and 2200 Elo — no engine knowledge required. Everything reads in chess language: moves graded from Brilliant to Blunder, not columns of numbers.
