Storage and backup

Régence stores everything on your Mac — a product principle, not a technical detail. The Storage tab makes that storage visible and copyable.

Where the data lives

Library, analyses, studies, training statistics: everything is stored in your user’s Application Support container — macOS’s standard location, removed if the app is uninstalled. Open the folder in Finder leads straight to it.

The one-click backup

Export a backup copy… creates a dated folder containing the entire library and analysis cache. The copy’s path shows once the export finishes — up to you to place it on an external drive, iCloud Drive or Dropbox.

Three occasions deserve the gesture:

• Before changing Macs — the copy re-imports on the new machine, nothing is lost, not even the hours of analysis already computed.
• Periodically — a study repertoire represents months of work; a monthly copy on an external drive is insurance that costs a minute.
• Before a big reorganization — complementing the study snapshots, which already protect each study individually.
