Batch analysis
Analyzing one game is a lesson; analyzing a whole month is a diagnosis. Batch analysis works through games on its own — the only decision is what to feed it.
Starting a batch
In the library, select several games (Cmd + click, Shift + click, or Cmd + A for all), then click Analyze (N) in the toolbar — or use the context menu. The games join the queue and analysis starts immediately, in the background: the library stays usable, and so does the app.
Two behaviors worth knowing:
- The open game jumps the queue. Starting an analysis from the board puts that game at the front — no waiting behind the month’s batch.
- Already-analyzed doesn’t redo. Evaluated positions are cached: re-running a batch over known games is near-instant, and only what’s new actually computes.
Following progress
The status bar, at the bottom of the window, permanently shows the batch counter, the current game and its progress. Clicking it — or Analysis > Analysis queue… (Cmd + Shift + Q) — opens the full queue: run order, “Waiting” states, current game.
In the library table, the Analysis column fills as it goes: both players’ accuracy appears in color as soon as a game finishes.
Quiet or Performance
The analysis mode is chosen in Settings > Analysis:
- Quiet (default) — the Mac stays silent, the analysis takes its time. The evening-batch mode: start it, go live, come back.
- Performance — twice as fast, fans allowed. The mode of legitimate impatience.
