Connecting your accounts

The Accounts menu in the library toolbar links Régence to your platforms. Look up a username… adds an account with two fields — the platform and the username — and two options:

  • Save: the account becomes permanent. Its games appear in the library, month by month.
  • Session only: the account is ephemeral, forgotten at restart — perfect for browsing an opponent’s games, or an intriguing player, without cluttering your library.

There’s no one-account-per-platform limit: a main account, a club account, an old username — they all coexist, and checking or unchecking an account in the menu filters its games in the table. Manage accounts… opens Settings for the deeper housekeeping: main account (it orients the board), activation, Lichess OAuth connection to also reach your private studies.

Browsing and bringing home

Once an account is active, the month selector in the toolbar loads the archives: “All months” shows the paginated feed (the Load more button goes back in time), a specific month loads all its games at once — clocks included.

Online games can be browsed directly; Add to My games, in the selection bar, saves them to the local library — that’s where they become batch-analyzable, taggable and counted in statistics. The Local toggle filters the table to what’s already saved.

The Import menu in the same toolbar carries the two classics: a PGN file (one game or a hundred — a multi-game file imports whole) and a Lichess or chess.com game URL. Dragging a PGN file onto the window works too, as everywhere in Régence.
